This is by far my favorite DIY project that I have done. It is not finished yet, but I was too excited not to share. This started out as a cool DIY project I saw on Pinterest, now it is a way to keep a piece of the military with us forever. Sure, I could have bought one already made on Etsy but this means so much more. The simple fact that the pieces on it are from my husband’s uniform is what makes it so special to me.
As I sat on the floor (Yes, I like to do my crafts on the floor lol it’s comfy to me.) cutting and tying the pieces to the template, I couldn’t help but think how much the military has become a part of my life. When my husband asked me to marry him, I not only said yes to him but to the military. I understood that the military comes first whether I like it or not. You can either embrace the changes as they come or complain about it. This wreath will hang on our door for years to come, even after my husband has completed his time in service. Why? Because we love our country and the men and women who fight for it. My selfless, loving husband is my hero and I want to represent him in such a way.
If you would like a tutorial on how to make this comment below!
My son just signed to serve in the U S Army and I would love to make one to show my support of him.
